The Peninsula Teaching School Partnership was designated in September 2011 as one of the first 100 Teaching Schools across England, the first in Cornwall and at that time one of only four in South West England. Following changes in headship at both Pool Academy and Penrice Academy the Teaching School was re-designated by NCTL in July 2017.
From the beginning, the aim of the Teaching School has been to be inclusive, to develop new leaders, provide high levels of school to school support and develop a highly effective CPLD model year on year.Read more ›
The Peninsula Teaching School is pleased to offer a programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The CPD offer for 2019-20 includes opportunities for; NQTs, RQTs, Middle Leaders and Senior Leaders.

Train to teach in Cornwall through Peninsula Teaching School’s School Direct programme. Working with Plymouth Marjon University we offer a one year Teacher Training programme through which graduates can achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and their PGCE.Read more ›
