Join us at Penrice Academy on the evening of Monday 24th April 2017 to find out about embarking on a career in teaching and training options in Cornwall. Initial Teacher Training providers from across Cornwall (representing SCITT and School Direct routes) will be in attendance to talk to potential applicants. The evening will also provide an opportunity to speak with current trainees and teachers about life in the classroom.

The Train to Teach roadshow comes to Exeter on the 15th November

NCTL’s free Train to Teach roadshow events are an opportunity to find out more about teacher training; routes and courses available, the application process, funding, life in the classroom and more. In addition to this the event will enable you to meet and speak with providers of Initial Teacher Training from your region.

Cornwall’s nearest national roadshow event will be taking place in Exeter on the evening of Tuesday 15th November 2016, from 4:30 – 8:00pm.

Peninsula SCITT will be one of the many providers attending the event and myself and Emma would be pleased to talk about your training options and what our programme might be able to offer you.

Train to Teach information evening this Thursday in Newquay

The ITT providers of Cornwall have joined together to hold a Train to Teach Information Evening at the Atlantic Centre in Newquay this Thursday (3rd Nov 2016).

The event will take place from 5 – 8pm and is free to attend – please drop in any time for an opportunity to;

  • meet representatives from School Direct and SCITT programmes delivering Initial Teacher Training in Cornwall
  • find out more about the courses available within the county and providers entry requirements
  • talk to teachers and trainees
  • receive one-to-one advice on your training options and the application process

Teacher Training Cornwall Information Evening flyer

For those thinking about a career in teaching the evening of Wednesday 23rd March presents the perfect opportunity to find out more;

Many Initial Teacher Training providers of Cornwall will be attending; answering your questions about the programmes they offer, entry requirements and the application process.

There will be a Train to Teach presentation at 6pm from a National College Advisor about the routes into teaching.

Current trainees and teaching staff will be available for you to find out more about life in the classroom.
